Cybercrime Rapper ‘Punchmade Dev’ Promotes Stolen Payment Cards Market

Punchmade Dev, a rapper best known for his songs about cybercrime such as wire fraud and card swiping, has recently been promoting an online market selling stolen payment cards and hacked bank accounts.

Raps About Cybercrime Tutorials

The social media personality is in a morally questionable situation since the consensus is that his music promotes cybercriminal activities. He vehemently denies the claims however, saying that it actually teaches people how to dodge digital threats.

One of his most controversial releases, a rap titled “Wire Fraud Tutorial,” has been removed from streaming platforms. The decision was motivated by concerns that the track too closely resembles a step-by-step tutorial on how to commit wire fraud.

Promoting His Own Scam Marketplace

His position became even more questionable as the rapper started promoting an online market where customers could buy stolen payment cards, hacked bank account details, and software that produced fake identity data and counterfeit checks.

Reportedly, the criminal marketplace sells hacked accounts with high balances, including Cash App, Linkable CC, PayPal, Chime and Wu. As KrebsonSecurity reports, for a mere $80, customers could receive login credentials for Cash App accounts holding between $3,000 and $5,000.

For instance, an item titled “Fullz + Linkable CC” allegedly includes an ID card (front and back), a social security number (SSN) with a credit score higher than 700, and a linkable credit card.

Hacked Accounts, Stolen Identities, and Hacking Tools

Another shady offering is that of OTP BOT, a tool that allegedly allows users to capture SMS and email codes from unsuspecting victims, facilitating the hijacking of mobile phones and email addresses 2FA codes.

The shop has a Telegram channel, where the marketplace operator promotes the illegal wares. Most offerings include one-month warranties and a promise of full support on Discord or Telegram if the buyer encounters problems.

As expected, purchases are exclusively in crypto. When trying to place an order, the rogue marketplace instructs its customers to continue payments using Coinbase.

Illegal Marketplaces: Breeding Ground for Criminal Offenses

Although the offerings may sound tempting to some, fiddling with stolen data, hacked accounts, and counterfeit checks is a highly punishable criminal offense.

Users concerned that their accounts could end up on such a marketplace can take counteractive measures by setting up strong, unique passwords on their devices, using multifactor authentication whenever possible, and using dedicated software for added protection.
